This semi-skilled position provides high level administrative and clerical support and assistance for the Transportation Program. It assists the Transit Director with operating the Transit Program ensuring consistent provision of quality services, in keeping with the MCPT goals and objectives, as well as requirements of the Federal Transportation Administration, Ohio Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies. The position is responsible for assisting the Transit Director and County management with the implementation of programmatic and fiscal goals and objectives related to transit. Position requires high level of confidentiality, clerical skills, accounting skills, communication skills, and problem solving. The position may be privy to confidential information. Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and QuickBooks and County accounting software. The Transit Clerk must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to take and follow directions willingly and assist the Transit Director when needed. The Transit Clerk reports directly to the Transit Director.
